and the TJUG
Hello
On September 20 I made a conference at the Toulouse JUG on the Android programming (1 h 30) before some 60 people (especially fans of development Java actually, and Yes is the TJUG ).
As always, it was great to do a presentation to the TJUG, the atmosphere is nice, people are motivated and attentive, and then the TJUG guys are really nice. In short, a presentation with friends.
In this presentation, I made an overview of everything you need to know about Android technology. In an hour and a half, there is not the time of re-entry into the details, I presented the main actors and basic practices (management of resources, problems of leaks memory with Threads, Activity, service, ContentProvider...).
The big good news for you reader of this post who was not there: the TJUG records and broadcasts conferences on Parleys! Yes! Bravo the TJUG!
You will find this conference on Parleys, here:

More I do conferences and trainings, more I realize that people think that there is no need learning from Java to Android. This is just a huge blunder to think about it. Of course the syntax is identical but Android is clearly more complicated and there are many things to know before you get to get an own application (no memory leak, which adapts to the screens and versions, allowing his business to finish their treatment,...). There is a world between write Java and knowledge make an Android app. I think we should really be an expert at your side for your first projects, either follow a training, if you died with a project that marchote and crashes that you understand why not to mention the unhappy customer who looks at you with a disappointed look.
During the evening, I also met Florian, our head of Android on Developpez.com section, and it I was pleased .
Next training Android2EE on Paris from 05 to 09 November 2012 or from 27 to 30 November on Toulouse, you also become a God in programming Android.
And then thank you who? Thanks Android2ee and thanks the Toulouse JUG
